The artwork is part of the “India” series.
After a second foray into India I have created a series of works with the same name, which also includes the artwork “Care”. India is truly amazing, an explosion of color and an amalgam of beauty, simplicity, temples for meditation, amazing palaces, yoga classes, winding streets, thousands of horns but also a lot of poverty. I chose this setting from the reality of this country. A mother holding her child protectively in her arms, shielding him from the chaos around, protecting him as best she could. I was impressed by the child’s face, his expression and maternal care. It is a representative image of the inhabitants of this impressive country.
